With the popularity of Microsoft App-V growing like crazy it seems there's always a fresh stream of folks who are new to the product and looking for some resources to help them get up to speed fast. If this is you, or you just want a refresher to make sure you're making the most of the product, we have a couple virtual labs that should really fit the bill. Sure whitepapers are nice but nothing is better than a lab where you can actually use the product and implement the concepts first hand.
The following scenarios are used to show the end-to-end process of creating, publishing and delivering a virtual application:
- Deliver a Virtual Application using the App-V Full Infrastructure
In this lab, you will experience the lifecycle of a virtual application from creation to delivery You will also become familiar with the end user experience. You can get all the details here.
After completing this lab, you will be better able to deliver an application update, create an application dependency using Dynamic Suite Composition, and use App-V License Metering to control application usage. You can find this lab here.
After completing this lab, you will be better able to configure a client for stand-alone mode, and utilize App-V Integration with AppLocker. You can find this one here.
You can find these as well as all the latest information including Deployment Guides, Datasheets and Whitepapers at our Application Virtualization TechCenter ,so if you use App-V and haven't visited this site then it's definitely worth a bookmark.
